Lucy is a kind, authentic and non-judgemental practitioner who builds genuine, respectful and collaborative therapeutic relationships. She hopes to create a space where people feel supported to explore their feelings, challenges, fears, strengths and hopes. Lucy values each person’s strengths and lived experience, drawing on these to nurture greater self-understanding and meaningful change. She often brings gentle humour and playfulness into her work.
Her therapeutic approach is integrated, flexible and trauma-informed, incorporating evidence-based treatments to fit the needs and values of the individual. These include, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Lucy has experience across inpatient, residential and community health settings, supporting those experiencing a range of mental health concerns and life challenges including mood disorders, anxiety, stress, trauma, eating disorders and substance use. She has a particular interest in eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns and has undertaken additional training in this area. Lucy adopts a non-diet, health not weight approach and values supporting people to build a peaceful relationship with food and their bodies wherever they are in their recovery journey.
She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Provisional Psychologist. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi)
