Lonneke is empathetic, compassionate, and open minded and she provides a safe, reflective, and collaborative therapy space free from judgement. Through short and long-term therapy Lonneke wishes to help her clients with gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and to help them feel empowered to make change and to work towards personal growth and living a full and meaningful life.
Lonneke has worked most of her career in private practice supporting adolescents and adults with anxiety/stress, depression, trauma, and relationship/attachment difficulties. Over the years she has gained a special interest in grief & loss, supporting new and expecting parents in the perinatal period, and supporting people that struggle with major life transitions.
Lonneke’s therapeutic approach is tailored to her clients’ needs and she draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, and Mindfulness.
She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist, and is she is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
